on the scale
This sliding scale is inspired by the Green Bottle model by Alexis J Cunningfolk, which invites clients to consider their full financial picture, not just income, but access to savings, housing stability, family support, debt, caregiving responsibilities, medical expenses, and other forms of financial pressure or privilege.
Please choose the rate that best reflects your current access to resources. The rate you choose does not change the care you receive, and no income verification is required.
Tier 1
60 minutes: $130 | 90 minutes: $195
Your basic needs are comfortably met.
You have reliable income or savings, and you can pay for care, pleasure, and non-essential expenses without significant financial strain.
Tier 2
60 minutes: $100 | 90 minutes: $150
Scheduling a massage may require budgeting, adjusting discretionary expenses, or making a short-term sacrifice. It would not interfere with your ability to pay for essentials or create lasting financial stress.
Tier 3
60 minutes: $80 | 90 minutes: $120
You would otherwise have difficulty accessing bodywork.
If paying more would create hardship or limit your ability to meet basic needs, this rate is here for you.

For appointments in Phoenix or Medford, the minimum session cost is $100 to account for added driving time.

Sliding-scale pricing works best when you choose honestly and with care for both your own circumstances and the wider community.
If paying at the higher end is accessible to you, it helps make lower-cost sessions possible for people with fewer resources. If the lower end is what makes care possible, you are welcome to use it.

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule whenever possible. Nick does not currently charge an automatic cancellation fee, though repeated late cancellations or no-shows may require prepayment or affect future scheduling.
